The AMC Classic Madison 10 in Madison, Tennessee has closed.

Located about thirteen miles northeast of downtown Nashville just south of the Rivergate Parkway interchange with I-65, the movie theater last updated its showtimes on Friday, January 21, 2022. This means that its last shows were probably on Sunday.

The theater originally opened November 22, 1995 as the Carmike Wynnsong 10. It became the AMC Classic Madison 10 after AMC acquired Carmike Cinemas in February 2017.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Regal Streets of Indian Lake Stadium 16 in Hendersonville, the Regal Opry Mills 20 & IMAX in Nashville, and the NCG - Gallatin Cinemas in Gallatin. The AMC website refers visitors to the AMC Bellevue 12, which is about 20 miles away (southwest of Nashville).

We couldn't find any news coverage or other references about the theater's closure, so if you know of anything, please add the relevant info to the comments below!

I was an worker for this establishment and according to my old coworkers, they were only notified about the closer not even three weeks in advance. They were shocked to find out that the theater was even going to close because many customers were coming in daily.

I found out that AMC sold the entire building to Madison Suburban Utility District and the last day they were going to own the building was around February. It should be pretty much cleared out already.

One of the workers was reprimanded for giving information about the closure to a regular customer which is honestly baffling but knowing the management from when I was there, not surprising at ALL. Crew was instructed to not talk about the closure or the selling of the building to any of the customers and to direct any customer with questions about it to a manager. Managers had no connection to the regular customers and crew were unhappy that so many regulars would have to find a empty and closed building as news that their favorite place for movies was sold.

So to answer the part where there was 0 news coverage, the Management did not want the information to get out because the knew that closing the only movie theater place in Madison would outrage the area.
