The Flix Brewhouse - Mansfield in the Shops at Broad shopping center in Mansfield, Texas was originally going to open in 2019 when it was announced in January of that year, but it never opened. Earlier this year, Flix Brewhouse announced that the project was restarted and was due to open in Fall 2023.

The company is right on schedule, as its website is now announcing that the luxury movie theater will be opening Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Flix Brewhouse currently operates nine movie theaters in Texas and five other states. It says that is is the "planet's only first-run cinema brewery," which we have difficulty disputing or proving, so we'll take their word for it. The company's website mentions food items, including hand-tossed pizzas, burgers, wings, and more. Given that it's a brewery, it's only natural that moviegoers will be able to enjoy a selection of dozens of draft beers and up to twelve of their own beers, as well as wine and non-alcoholic drinks. The Flix pub is open seven days a week to the public and does not require a movie ticket.

Until it opens, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinemark Mansfield 12 and XD in Mansfield and the Studio Movie Grill - Arlington Highlands in Arlington. If you want to check out what Flix Brewhouse has to offer, the closest location is the Flix Brewhouse - Frisco/Little Elm, which is about 42 miles away in Frisco.
