Concerns about the coronavirus pandemic shuttered movie theaters around the world in March 2020, and it devastated the movie theater industry. New releases were delayed, often multiple times, and in many cases, diverted to online streaming services. Movie theaters sat empty and employees were out of work. Some (too many) theaters closed permanently.

With the rollout of the vaccines, case rates are going down, and movie theaters are reopening. Marcus Theatres is rewarding customers that are doing their part by getting vaccinated by offering them a free complimentary-sized popcorn when they show their vaccination card Mondays through Thursdays between May 24 - June 15, 2021.

The details are pretty straightforward:

Simply show your Vaccination Card at the food pickup area to redeem offer. Offer not valid online. Can redeem for 1 free popcorn, per day, per guest. Not valid with any other offers.

While this isn't a fabulous deal (the popcorn is a small bag), it's a nice thing for the theaters to do nonetheless.
