The Marina Drive-in in Marina Del Rey, California is showing movies under the stars this month.

The movies will be shown pop-up style at Parking Lot #2 Public Boat Launch. Local restaurants will be open and available for moviegoers.

Spectrum News 1 published a news article recently about the showings:

“So we thought that at drive-in would be a good way of still bringing the community together, but separately and safely,” said Nicole Mooradian, a spokesperson for L.A. County Department of Beaches and Harbors. DBH is sponsoring the event alongside the Marina del Rey Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We’re giving people an opportunity to get out of the house and go to a movie.”

The first movie was The Princess Bride on February 12, followed by Bohemian Rhapsody and then The Notebook on Valentine's Day.

The article mentions that if the movie series is successful, more showings could be added in the future.

Tickets are $20 per vehicle and must be purchased in advance on the Marina Drive-in website. In addition to the food options at the marina, moviegoers are welcome to bring in food and drink.
