The Regal Tall City in Midland, Texas has closed. Located on the northwest side of Midland along W Loop 250 North, the movie theater closed July 20, 2023.

According to our records, the theater opened in 1996 as the Hollywood Theaters - Tall City 14, until Regal acquired Hollywood Theatres in 2013. It then became the Regal Tall City Stadium 14 and later the Regal Tall City IMAX & RPX. Cineworld acquired Regal Entertainment Group in 2017, and then declared bankruptcy in September 2022. Even though the company declared that it would carry on "business as usual," many Regal locations have closed since then. The Regal Permian Palace & IMAX closed in nearby Odessa in January.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinergy - Midland in Midland, the Big Sky Drive-in in Midland, and the Cinergy - Odessa in Odessa.
