We've added photos of the Marcus Southgate Cinema in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Located on South 27th Street between Oklahoma Avenue and Loomis Road, the theater originally opened April 16, 1993 as the Cinemark Movies 10. It was Cinemark's first location in Wisconsin. By December 1998, it was known as the Cinemark Southgate Cinemas. In 1998, Marcus Theatres Corporation took over, and it became the Marcus Southgate Cinema.
The Southgate Mall, which dated to 1951, was razed in 1999 and replaced with a WalMart store. This was a blessing for the movie theater, which was previously hidden behind the buildings of the mall structure, as visibility to traffic on 27th Street was greatly improved.
