The North Plaza Cinema in Morrilton, Arkansas has closed.
Located in the shopping center on East Harding Street, the three-screen movie theater showed its last movies the weekend of February 23, 2024. The theater posted the following message on its Facebook page before the closure:
After 30 years in the Morrilton community, North Plaza Cinema is closing its doors. It has been a pleasure serving Conway County. Our family appreciates all of our customers and friends, who have supported us through these years.
This will be our last weekend to be open, so please come by and see us so we can thank you in person. Come and enjoy the show.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinemark Towne Centre and XD in Conway and the UEC Russellville in Russellville.
