The AMC Classic Morris 10 in Morris, Illinois will be closing after the last movie tonight, October 22, 2025.

Located northwest of the Illinois 47 interchange with I-80, the movie theater will be used by the Mission Bible Church. It dates back to the 1990s, when it was opened as the GKC Orpheum Cinemas by the George Kerasotes Company (GKC). Carmike Cinemas bought the company in 2005, and it became the Carmike Orpheum Cinema 10, and then the AMC Classic Morris 10 in 2017 after AMC acquired Carmike Cinemas.

Come tomorrow, however, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including The Mar Theatre in Wilmington and the NCG - Yorkville Cinemas in Yorkville. If you have an AMC gift card to use, the closest location is the AMC New Lenox 14, which is about 30 miles north on I-80 toward Chicago.
