The AMC Showplace Muncie 7 in Muncie, Indiana closed November 30, 2014.

The Star Press published an article recently about the closure:

"I can confirm that the theater closed Nov. 30," AMC director of corporate communications Ryan Noonan said Friday.

The status of the theater hasn't always been clear in recent months. At some point, AMC posted a "for sale" sign but had to add another noting that showings continued. Those showings were limited, however, with screenings mostly Friday and Saturday evenings.

In recent days, the backlit poster boxes outside the theater were empty. Overhead lights were mostly off inside the theater but the glow of cash registers and the concession stand lit the interior. The theater was still listed on AMC's website as of Friday.

Noonan said he didn't have information regarding the future of the building.
