The movie theater in the Market Common shopping center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is under new management.

Located along Farrow Parkway near the Myrtle Beach Internation Airport, the movie theater and the shopping center date back to April 2008. Built on the site of a former Air Force base that closed in 1993, the shopping center now offers shopping, restaurants, bars, cafes, and numerous entertainment options, including bowling, a children's museum, and escape rooms. Additionally, there are apartments and homes which make it into an "urban village community," according to the center's website.

Since 2008, moviegoers have been going to the Grand 14 at Market Common movie theater to watch movies on the big screen. In November 2025, the theater's operation was transferred from Stone Theatres Management, LLC. to The Georgia Theatre Company and is now known as the GTC Market Common.

This is now GTC's second movie theater in South Carolina and increases the company's locations to 24 across five states. The change leaves Stone Theatres with one location in South Carolina and two in North Carolina. If you still have a Stone Theatres gift card to use, the closest location is the Stone Theatres - The Pointe 14 in Wilmington, North Carolina, which is approximately 68 miles up the coastline.

Frequent visitors will be interested in joining the company's loyalty program, called GTC Reel Rewards. The free program offers points for money spent on tickets and concessions, which can be redeemed for candy, popcorn, soft drinks, and movie tickets. Additional promotions are available to members, with complete details available on the theater's website.
