The LOOK Dine-In Cinemas - W57th New York in New York City will be opening in May 2023. The theater will be in the location of the former The Landmark at 57 West at West 57th Street at 12th Avenue, between Central Park and the Hudson River. That theater closed in 2020, less than three years after it opened. The new Pier 97 @ Hudson River Park expansion of the Clinton Cove Park area nearby is currently under construction and the combination should be mutually beneficial when it is completed.

This will be the second New York location for LOOK Cinemas, joining the LOOK Dine-in Cinemas - Dobbs Ferry. It also has locations in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Virginia. LOOK Cinemas specializes in offering a premium movie-watching experience combined with in-theater dining. The company was founded by Brian Schultz in 2021, after previously founding Studio Movie Grill, which also offers in-theater dining to moviegoers. 

According to a press release issued by LOOK Cinemas in February, the theater will retain the eight screens of the Landmark operation, and will offer in-theater dining, with laser projection systems, and luxury seating. It appears that guests will be able to order from an app or summon a server to have chef-inspired meals and beverage selections delivered to their seats. A lounge area will serve moviegoers and locals stopping in for a drink. The company intends for this to be a flagship location, with premieres, festivals, screenings, and celebrity appearances as part of their offerings.

Showtimes

The first showtimes that the theater has provided are on May 4, 2023 for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. I'm certain that more will be added as the opening date nears, so keep an eye on the Showtimes page for the LOOK Dine-In Cinemas - W57th New York for updates!

Until it opens, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Film at Lincoln Center - Damrosch Park, the Walter Reade Theater, and AMC Lincoln Square 13.
