We all knew it was coming, but we hoped it wouldn't. Nevertheless, the release of the upcoming James Bond movie, No Time to Die, has been delayed to April 2, 2021. It was to have opened in theaters November 20.

According to a recent article published by The Hollywood Reporter, concerns about the "challenges surrounding the coronavirus pandemic" have caused MGM, Eon Productions, and Universal Pictures to delay the movie so that it could be seen by a "worldwide theatrical audience."

Its departure from the November schedule makes a thin release calendar even thinner. You can see for yourself on the Coming Soon calendar of notable upcoming releases.

Perhaps movie theaters will be able to play previous installments of the James Bond franchise. If they play one movie per week starting next week, they would end up opening the latest installment right on schedule, assuming that all of them are available for showing.

Have Your Own James Bond Marathon at Home

Of course, you can always set up your own viewing marathon at home!

If you have a desire to watch a James Bond movie and can't wait until April, the good news is that you can rent or purchase the four previous Daniel Craig Bond movies, as well as the entire franchise going back to 1963's Dr. No with Sean Connery in the role as Bond, James Bond.

Gift Shop merchant Amazon.com will be happy to stream movies via Prime Video, and you can purchase the physical discs (still our favorite option) as well. (We receive a small commission from purchases through these links -- thanks for supporting us!)
