The AMC Oakview Plaza 24 in Omaha, Nebraska closed permanently earlier this month. The last day we received showtimes for the theater was November 9, 2020.
AMC's website does not explain the theater's closure, but it did post the following message on the theater's former page:
AMC Oakview Plaza 24 Has Permanently Closed
We hope to see you at our next nearest location: AMC CLASSIC Westroads 14
According to our records, the theater originally opened December 12, 1997 as the AMC Oakview 24.
AMC would like everyone to visit the next closest location in their chain, which is the AMC Classic Westroads 14 about four miles away, but moviegoers have many choices of the other nearby theaters, including the Westwood Cinema 8 and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - La Vista in Omaha.
