The animated action movie, The Angry Birds Movie, is now available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital streaming.

Based on the popular game (with 3.5 billion downloads, it's the most downloaded app of all time), the movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it's up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

The idea of making a movie based on a smartphone game seemed like a stretch, even if it wasn't all that suprising. Audiences reacted positively when it was released on May 20, 2016, with the movie reaching #1 on its opening weekend, and it stayed in the Top 10 for four weeks. Its release on home video comes a short 88 days after its theatrical release.
