The Landmark Ritz East in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has closed. The last time we received showtimes updates for the theater was October 8, 2021.

The theater's Facebook page posted the following message:

Ritz East is temporarily closed.

Visit us at the Ritz Five.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

According to our records, the theater originally opened February 13, 1981 as the Budco Olde City 2. It later was known as the AMC Olde City Twin, which closed on December 13, 1998. It opened May 21, 1999 as the Ritz East. Ownership transferred to Landmark Theatres in March 2007.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Landmark Ritz Five, the PFS Bourse Theater, and the AMC Dine-In Fashion District 8 in Philadelphia.
