The former Regal Richland Crossing 12 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania closed over a year ago, but the movie theater is close to showing movies again!

Located in the Richland Crossing shopping center along North West End Boulevard, the 12-screen movie theater was closed in September 2022 after its parent company, Cineworld, filed for bankruptcy. It is expected to open in March 2024 as the R/C Richland Crossings Movies 12 under the management of R/C Theatres. The company operates 13 other locations around Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia.

The theater's Facebook page mentions that the theater will be "opening soon" and teases a "new moviegoing experience" that includes luxury heated recliners, Premium Large Format (PLF) auditoriums, and an expanded snack bar. An article published recently by WFMZ-TV (see below) mentions that the theater also will offer Dolby Atmos immersive sound, laser-powered digital projection systems, and more.

Until it opens, however, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Center Valley 16 in Center Valley and the Grand Theater in East Greenville.
