Comic-Con 2022 just wrapped in San Diego, and Marvel Studios took the opportunity to announce release dates and a few teasers for their upcoming slate of movies and TV series. We'll focus on the movie news.

Marvel Studios Movie Lineup

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The release of the teaser trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever turned out to be a huge hit! Variety reported that it garnered 172 million views in 24 hours, which makes it one of the MCU's biggest trailer rollouts. You can watch it for yourself above! A new poster is also available, which you can see on the Photo Gallery for the movie. It opens in theaters November 11, 2022.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

The third installment of the Ant-Man saga is coming to theaters February 17, 2023. Marvel is offering up the following synopsis:

Super Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

The group also meets Kang, who is their "greatest foe yet" and is a name we'll hear again before this article is done. A change with this installment is that Scott Lang's daughter, Cassie, will be played by Kathryn Newton (last seen on the big screen in Freaky) instead of Emma Fuhrmann, who played Cassie in Avengers: Endgame.

A sneak peek of footage was shown at Comic-Con, but Marvel is not releasing it online yet.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

New logo artwork was released for the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Releasing in theaters May 5, 2023

This movie marks the end of the road for the Guardians, according to director James Gunn. Marvel has released the following synopsis for the movie:

Our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

As with Quantumania, sneak preview footage was shown at Comic-Con, but it is not yet available online (officially). However, Variety interviewed actors Sean Gunn, Chris Pratt, and Will Poulter about the movie, so head over to the Trailers & Videos page for the movie to watch them!

Blade

Marvel Studios announced that the new version of Blade, starring Mahershala Ali, will open in theaters November 3, 2023.

Captain America: New World Order

Anthony Mackie will be appearing on the big screen for the first time as Captain America when Captain America: New World Order opens in theaters May 3, 2024. The release date and the artwork above was released at Comic-Con.

Thunderbolts

According to Marvel, this movie will be introducing a "new group of heroes." It opens in theaters July 26, 2024.

The Fantastic Four

Marvel is taking another crack at this franchise, after two movies in 2005 and 2007, followed by the dismal outing that was 2015's Fantastic Four. (That movie fell out of the Top 10 Box Office after just three weeks.) This new installment doesn't have a director or cast announced yet, but it is scheduled to open in theaters November 8, 2024.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

Heading into 2025, Marvel will be giving Kang a prominent role in a new Avengers movie. We don't know anything about the story, but the big news was that Destin Daniel Cretton (from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Just Mercy) will be directing. It is currently scheduled to open in theaters July 26, 2025.

Avengers: Secret Wars

The most information we have is the graphic you see above. That, and a November 7, 2025 release date.
