The Fairchild Cinemas - Queensgate 12 in Richland, Washington opened December 17, 2015. According to the theater's official web site, the Queensgate 12 features the following amenities:

• Dolby Atmos In Select Auditoriums
• Free Refill on Large Soda & Popcorn
• Reserved Seating
• Motorized Leather Reclining Seats

The closest theaters to the Queensgate's location are the Carmike 12 - Kennewick and Regal Columbia Center 8 in Kennewick. Both are about five miles away. Fairchild Cinemas also operates the Fairchild Cinemas - Pasco Cinemas in Pasco and the Fairchild Cinemas - Moses Lake in Moses Lake.

Owner of the theater Jeff Fairchild said this theater is much needed for the Queensgate area.

"We've been watching the growth in Richland for some time. We've been planning this for two years and upgraded it to a premium theater with the electric recliner lounge chairs. In January, hopefully we'll be opening up our adult section for the 21 and up crowd to have a drink while they're watching a movie," said Fairchild.
