The Xscape Theatres - The Crossing at Katy Fulshear in Richmond, Texas is scheduled to open in September 2018. The 12-screen movie theater will be the second Houston-area location for Xscape Theatres (the Xscape Theatres - Xscape at 1488 in Conroe opened in May).

According to the press release issued by Xscape Theatres and Patoka Capital recently, the new theater will open in September 2018 and will feature powered reclining leather seats and two of the auditoriums will be the company's "Xtreme Screen" premium offerings. Each will have a 70-foot wide screen with a 4K Digital Cinema projector and a Dolby Atmos immersive sound system.

The theater will have some competition to deal with, however, as the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - LaCenterra, AMC Katy Mills 20, Cinemark 19 & XD, and Regal Grand Parkway 22 are nearby. That's quite a few screens in a small area!
