The Xscape Theatres - Katy Fulshear in Richmond, Texas is now open, according to an announcement by the theater on September 20, 2018.

The new theater is located at The Crossing at Katy Fulshear at FM 1463 Road & Farm to Market 1093 Road, approximately 30 miles west of downtown Houston. Owned by Aliance Management Company, it's the second Houston-area location for the company (the Xscape Theatres - Xscape at 1488 in Conroe opened in May).

The theater's Facebook page and official web site list the following amenities:

• Two 70' Xtreme Screens with Dolby Atmos immersive sound systems and 4K laser projection systems
• Plush leather powered recliners
• Reserved seating

The information isn't specific, but we believe that the Xtreme Screens are the only ones with Dolby Atmos and 4K laser projection systems. One hopes that the moviegoing experience at this theater will be superb, because it has plenty of competition, with the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - LaCenterra, AMC Katy Mills 20, Cinemark 19 & XD, and Regal Grand Parkway 22 all nearby.

Ticket prices start around $8 for adults for matinees before 4pm and almost $10 in the evening. Shows in the Xtreme Screens will be more expensive, with an evening show in the Xtreme auditorium at $12.75 for adults. For a full rundown of the ticket prices, please see the Ticket Prices page.
