A new luxury six-screen theater and grill, Malco Renaissance Cinema Grill, opened December 12, 2019 in the Renaissance at Colony Park in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

Exciting new features include the reserved, reclining seating in all auditoriums, Dolby 7.1 digital surround sound, lobby kiosks allowing guests to avoid long lines, and an expanded menu of "quick-casual" options through Malco Grill as well as a full bar menu.

According to WJTV, David Tashie, president and chief operating officer of the Memphis-based Malco Theaters, said,

 “Malco is very excited about bringing a state-of-the-art luxury cinema grill to the Ridgeland community. This theatre will be something the community will be very proud to have and enjoy for many years to come. Our emphasis has always been on quality and we have always stressed the importance of staying ”ahead of the curve” in sight and sound technology. Our family has been in this business for over 100 years, and we’ve always embraced any new idea that enhances the moviegoing experience for our patrons. We believe these new amenities will add to the already fun and exciting experience of going out to the movies.”

The co-owner and developer of the open-air mall, Andrew Mattaice, also commented, saying

"Renaissance at Colony Park is pleased and fortunate to have the Malco brand as a part of its merchandising mix. It will truly enrich the entertainment component of the Renaissance experience."

The theater is located next to the entrance to the Renaissance's new water and music feature entrance, and the mall itself is located near Natchez Trace Parkway and Highway 55. Other theaters nearby include the Malco Grandview 17 in Madison, and the Regal UA Parkway Place in Flowood.
