The Cinemark Riverton and XD in Riverton, Utah is now open to the public.

Located about eighteen miles south of Salt Lake City, the 14-screen movie theater is located near Eagles Flight Road and Majestic Rise Parkway, just east of UT-85/Mountain View Corridor.

When we published the announcement for this theater a few weeks ago, the release date was listed as "mid-2022" with no indication that the company was truly shooting for halfway through the year!

According to the press release issued by Cinemark recently (see full press release below), the new theater has the following amenities:

• Cinemark’s Luxury Loungers in every auditorium – heated, electric-powered, plush, oversize recliners
• A Cinemark XD auditorium – Cinemark's premium format screen offering, with the largest wall-to-wall screen in the building and 11.1 layer multichannel surround sound
• Reserved seating throughout
• D-BOX seats that provide moviegoers synchronized movement to the action on the screen
• Expanded concession offerings in addition to popcorn, including pizza and other hot food items, Coca-Cola Freestyle drink stations with over 100 flavors, and Starbucks coffee
• Private party room

The theater is part of the Mountain View Village's Phase II, which includes park area, a fountain, and a pavilion with dining options and indoor and outdoor seating.

Cinemark Riverton and XD opens just in time for some of the summer’s biggest movies, including the premiere of Illumination’s action-packed new feature film, Minions: The Rise of Gru, sure to entertain the whole family.
