The Cape Ann Community Cinema in Rockport, Massachusetts will be opening its doors September 7, 2023.

Located at 37 Whistlestop Mall, the theater was previously located in Gloucester until the pandemic shut down movie theaters around the country in 2020. The organization pivoted and created a video store in Rockport, and now they are opening the theater at that address.

The theater posted the following message on its Facebook page recently:

LOOKS LIKE WE MADE IT!

Hello Cape Ann,

We did it! Over three years since the End Of The World, Cape Ann Community Cinema is now ready to reopen, thanks in large part to your patience, faith, and support. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us across the finish line. We could not have done it without you.

That's all I have the energy for today, but keep your eyes on your email for all the great things in store for the coming season, which marks 15 for us!
