The Movies at Mount Berry Square in Rome, Georgia has been sold, but will remain open with new management.

Located on the edge of the Berry Square shopping center north of downtown Rome, the movie theater was operated by Village Theatres. This was the last theater operated by Village Theatres that was still open. The Rome Cinemas in Rome closed its doors in October 2020 and was sold to U-Haul as a self-storage and retail facility. The Village Theatres in Rome closed in late 2013 or early 2014 and was demolished to make way for an Aldi store.

The movie theater has been sold to The Georgia Theatre Company, which has 25 locations in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia. The closest is the GTC Mountain Cinemas in East Ellijay, which is almost 50 miles away.
