The Camera 3 in San Jose, California closed October 9, 2017, according to an announcement on the theater's official web site:

Camera 3 Entertainment closed Monday, October 9th, and and will re-open in January 2018 after a major renovation of the main theater, restrooms, and lobby/cafe with additional improvements throughout the venue. When the venue reopens, movie screenings of new and revival features will resume, and we will debut new programming including professional musical theater, opera, concerts, film festivals including the Cinequest Film & VR Festival, sing-alongs, quote-alongs, repertory films, documentaries, art and independent films, and much more. Thank you for your love and support, and see you again soon at the new and improved Camera 3!

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Towne 3 Cinema, CineLux Almaden Cinema, and the CineArts @ Santana Row.
