The AMC Classic South Pike 10 in Sarver, Pennsylvania has closed.

Located in the South Pike Square shopping center on South Pike Road about 28 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, the ten-screen movie theater's last day of operation was August 15, 2024. According to an article published recently by TribLIVE (see below), building owner Nick Mulone plans to open it in September as the South Pike Cinema.

Until it reopens, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Riverside Drive-In in Vandergrift, the GQT Pittsburgh Mills Cinemas in Tarentum, and the Oaks Cinema in Oakmont. If you have AMC gift cards to use, the closest location is the AMC Waterfront 22 in West Homestead.

Theater History

According to our records, the movie theater opened as the Cinema 356, under the ownership of Mulone. It was owned by Mulone Theatres as the South Pike Cinemas from 2002 until 2014, when it was acquired by Digital Cinema Destinations Corp. and renamed to the Digiplex South Pike 10. It was acquired by Carmike Cinemas in 2014. It became the AMC Classic South Pike 10 in March 2017 after AMC acquired Carmike Cinemas.
