The Palace Theatre in Silverton, Oregon has closed. It showed its last movie, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, on Monday, January 23, 2023.

Located on the corner of North Water Street and Oak Street, the historic theater dates back to its opening in 1936. The theater's website states that the current operators have been running it since 2021. According to a message posted on the website and the theater's Facebook page, the operators of the theater were having a dispute with the building's owner.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Regal Willamette Town Center, the Regal Santiam Cinema 11, and the Salem Cinema in Salem.
