The NCG - Snellville in Snellville, Georgia will be relocating later this year. Its new location will be the building that formerly housed the AMC Classic Snellville 12, which closed in July 2024.

Parent company NCG Cinemas posted the following announcement on its Facebook page recently (with the graphic as seen above), which listed some of the amenities moviegoers can expect when it opens sometime this Spring:

NCG Cinema Snellville is moving to a brand-new location in the Snellville Neighborhood.

NCG opened its existing location on Main Street in 2017. It was originally the Snellville Oaks 14 Theatre, which was opened by Storey Theatres in 1994. It was taken over by Regal Cinemas in 1996 and it closed as the Regal Snellville Oaks Stadium 14 in May 2017.

The new location on Scenic Highway just north of Ronald Reagan Parkway is just under a three mile drive from the existing theater. It originally opened in 1997 as the Carmike 12 - Snellville. It became the AMC Classic Snellville 12 after AMC acquired Carmike Cinemas in April 2017. Given that it was an AMC Classic location, we're thinking that the building's interior has been remodeled pretty extensively. The list of amenities promise a good moviegoing experience, so time will tell if they are promises kept.

We don't have an official statement from NCG about the naming of the new theater, so we're thinking that it may just retain the NCG - Snellville name. Until the switch happens, we'll refer to the new location as the NCG - Snellville (Scenic Highway).
