The Entertainment Cinemas - The Shops at Clarks Pond in South Portland, Maine is now open to the public.

Located in the Clarks Pond Plaza just north of I-295, the movie theater has been closed for more than three and a half years. It was formerly known as the Cinemagic Grand Stadium at Clarks Pond, which closed in February 2021 when parent company Zyacorp closed all its locations.

It is now being operated by Entertainment Cinemas which also operates four locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. An additional location in Sturbridge, Massachusetts is expected to open later this year.

The location was expected to open by the end of 2021 under the name Martin Henry Cinemas, according to an article published at the time in the Portland Press Herald (see list below). Those plans included all three former Zyacorp locations in Maine, but those locations (and several former Cinemagic locations) reopened as Apple Cinemas operations instead.

Until now, moviegoers in the area needed to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Apple Cinemas - Westbrook in Westbrook (one of the former Cinemagic locations) and the Portland Museum of Art in Portland.
