The Legacy Theaters - Staunton 6 in Staunton, Virginia has closed. The last updates we received from the theater were on December 3, 2020.
According to a news article we found (see list below), the Staunton Mall may have been sold, and the tenants were given notice to move out.
According to our records, the theater was originally opened by R/C Theatres around 1990 and sold to Regal in a screen swap in May 1996 and named Regal Staunton Mall Cinemas 6. Regal Cinemas left in 2010 and the then-management at the mall took over the theater. It was then called the Staunton Mall Cinemas 6, which closed in 2012. It was reopened by Legacy Theaters on December 15, 2017.
Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Visulite Cinema in Staunton, the Zeus Digital Theater in Waynesboro, and the Regal Harrisonburg 14 in Harrisonburg.
