Ten Studio Movie Grill locations have closed permanently after not showing movies since March 2020.

The locations are:

• Studio Movie Grill - Colleyville -- Colleyville, Texas
• Studio Movie Grill - Copperfield -- Houston, Texas
• Studio Movie Grill - Downey -- Downey, California
• Studio Movie Grill - Glendale -- Glendale, California
• Studio Movie Grill - Hampton -- Hampton, Virginia
• Studio Movie Grill - Holcomb Bridge -- Alpharetta, Georgia
• Studio Movie Grill - Monrovia -- Monrovia, California
• Studio Movie Grill - Northwest Highway -- Dallas, Texas
• Studio Movie Grill - Redlands -- Redlands, California
• Studio Movie Grill - Scottsdale -- Scottsdale, Arizona

The locations have been removed from the Studio Movie Grill website. Studio Movie Grill filed for bankruptcy in October, and these locations appear to be casualties of that action.

The Studio Movie Grill - Colleyville has been operated by Studio Movie Grill since May 2014. It originally opened in 2006 as the Metro Cinema + Indigo Grille, which closed in 2008. It opened in December 2008 as the B & B Colleyville Cinema Grille with IMAX (B & B Theatres), which closed in early 2014.

The Studio Movie Grill - Copperfield in Houston opened in 2006. It was previously known as the Loews Easton Commons 8.

The Studio Movie Grill - Downey in Downey, California opened September 1, 2017. Before that, it was known as the Krikorian Downey Cinema 10, under the management of Krikorian Premiere Theatres, LLC.

The Studio Movie Grill - Glendale in Glendale, California has been showing movies since October 17, 2019. It originally opened as the Mann Theatres Glendale Exchange 10 and it closed as The Exchange 8 on February 29, 2012 under the ownership of Vintage Cinemas. It reopened August 26, 2013 as the MGN Five Star Cinema, which closed February 27, 2017.

The Studio Movie Grill - Hampton was previously known as the Phoenix Theatres Peninsula Movie Bistro which was opened by Phoenix Theatres Entertainment, LLC. in July 2017. Cobb Theatres originally opened the theater on June 25, 2010 as the Cobb CineBistro at Peninsula Town Center.

The Studio Movie Grill - Holcomb Bridge in Alpharetta, Georgia opened June 17, 2010 in a converted grocery store.

The Studio Movie Grill - Monrovia in Monrovia, California has been operating since September 1, 2017. Before that, it was known as the Krikorian Monrovia Cinema 12 & LFX (operated by Krikorian Premiere Theatres, LLC).

The Studio Movie Grill - Northwest Highway in Dallas, Texas opened December 17, 2013. Before that, it was known as the AmStar Cinemas 14 - Dallas, under the management of Southern Theatres, which opened in October 2011 and closed August 30, 2013. Previously, AMC operated it as the AMC The Grand 24 since May 19, 1995, until it decided not to renew the lease in 2010.

The Studio Movie Grill - Redlands in Redlands, California opened September 1, 2017. It was previously operated by Krikorian Premiere Theatres, LLC. as the Krikorian Redlands Cinema 14.

Located about sixteen miles northeast of downtown Phoenix, the Studio Movie Grill - Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona opened in November 2011.
