Director Christopher Nolan's latest movie, Tenet, which opened in theaters September 3, 2020, is now available on home video in a variety of formats.
The movie opened in limited form, not by design, but by necessity, as a result of nationwide theater closures amid the coronavirus pandemic. As a result of theaters/studios not reporting box office returns during that time, we don't have exact information about its debut performance, but it is still drawing audiences today, with more than 200 theaters around the country playing the movie.
Those audiences may be seeing it multiple times, just to make complete sense of it all, for it takes viewers on a temporal whiplash journey for most of its 150 minutes. You can see my comments about the movie in my Reader Review.
John David Washington plays a man who journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion. He is armed with only one word -- Tenet -- and the fate of the entire world is at risk.
