The Cinemark Movies 12 in Texas City, Texas has closed.

Located in the Mainland City Center on Emmett F Lowry Expressway about 35 miles southeast of downtown Houston, the theater originally opened March 22, 1991. According to an article published recently by The Daily News (see article list below), Mainland City Center owner Jerome Karam may be planning to open a new movie theater that offers in-theater dining.

With this theater closed, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinemark 18 and XD and the Premiere Cinemas - Premiere Nasa Dollar 8 in Webster, and the Star Cinema Grill - Baybrook in Friendswood.
