The Call of the Wild opened in theaters February 21, 2020 and the adventure movie starring Harrison Ford is available now for purchase from many streaming providers.

Based on the Jack London book, this is the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team--and later its leader--Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.

Rentals and Physical Disc Purchases Not Yet Available

The movie is being made available to purchase on streaming platform far ahead of the usual schedule for such things, but since the coronavirus pandemic has ended the ability for audiences to see it in a theater, we're seeing this happen with quite a few movies that were released soon before the theater closures happened.

The good news here is that, like Disney also did with Onward, this is a purchase for a decent price ($14.99 in this case) instead of a $20 rental, which was done with other movies, such as The Invisible Man (rental for $19.99) and Birds of Prey, Bloodshot, and others (also $19.99 rentals).

Please note: If you purchase through the links above, we may receive a small commission. Thanks for supporting The BigScreen Cinema Guide!
