The big news this weekend will be the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, but moviegoers around the country will be heading to theaters to watch all kinds of movies!
What are the big releases, you ask? We've got a rundown of the top movies playing in movie theaters near you this weekend. Take a look at the list below and make your plans!
Hoppers -- #1 in the Box Office!
What if you could talk to animals and understand what they're saying? In Disney and Pixar's all-new feature film "Hoppers," scientists have discovered how to "hop" human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals! The adventure introduces Mabel, an animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use the technology, uncovering mysteries within the animal world that are beyond anything she could have imagined.
Reminders of Him -- New!
After a perfect outing with her boyfriend, Kenna (Maika Monroe) makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison. Seven years later, Kenna returns to her hometown in Wyoming, hoping to rebuild her life and earn the chance to reunite with her young daughter, Diem, whom she has never known.
When Diem's custodial grandparents adamantly refuse Kenna's attempts to see her daughter, Kenna discovers unexpected compassion, and then something truer and deeper, with former NFL player and local bar owner Ledger (Tyriq Withers). As their secret romance develops, so do the dangers for both of them, leading Kenna toward heartbreak and, ultimately, the hope for a second chance.
A lonely Frankenstein (Christian Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride (Jesse Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!
When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.
An action-comedy set in an all-animal world. The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will's new teammates aren't thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that "smalls can ball!"
Undertone -- New!
The host of a popular paranormal podcast becomes haunted by terrifying recordings mysteriously sent her way.
A bold and original imagining of one of the greatest love stories of all time, Emerald Fennell's version of Emily Bronte's novel stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, whose forbidden passion for one another turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love and madness.
TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze - 35th Anniversary -- One Week Only!
Back in theaters by bodacious demand!?? Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael return for their most thrilling adventure yet. This time the evil Shredder has learned the secret of the ooze, the force behind the Turtles' mutation and amazing fighting abilities. Now more dangerous than ever, Shredder is determined to destroy the Turtles, bringing along new villains Tokka and Rahzar for a battle to the end.
Before the movie, step into the mind of TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman, joining him on a vision through the past. Sit down alongside the icon at his personal drawing desk while he illustrates through the revolving history, and mythos, of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles legend.
After the breakout success of I Can Only Imagine, MercyMe's Bart Millard is living the dream--sold-out arenas, a devoted fanbase, and a thriving career. But Bart's world begins to shift under the weight of devastating challenges, including a life-changing diagnosis for his young son, Sam. As Bart struggles to hold his family together, his wife Shannon becomes the steady anchor--caring for Sam, supporting Bart, and holding on to hope when it feels far away.
When Sam and newcomer Tim Timmons join the band for their biggest tour yet, Bart must navigate the demands of fatherhood and the pressures of fame, all while helping his son find the courage to sing his own song.
Set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles is a tale of an elusive thief (Chris Hemsworth) whose high-stakes heists unfolding along the iconic 101 freeway have mystified police. When he eyes the score of a lifetime with hopes of this being his final job, his path collides with a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry) who is facing her own crossroads, forcing the two to collaborate.
Determined to crack the case, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) closes in on the operation, raising the stakes even higher. As the multi-million-dollar heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are forced to confront the cost of their choices–and the realization that there's no turning back.
