The Diana Theatre in Tipton, Indiana is celebrating its 99th, having opened in 1926. We visited the Tipton area in April 2024 on our way to watch the solar eclipse and took several photos to share with you.
Located in central Indiana on Highway 28 about 35 miles north of downtown Indianapolis, the movie theater sits on the corner of East Jefferson Street and South Independence Street. When viewed from that corner, you can see an interesting mural on the side of the building (photo below).
The theater's single auditorium received some improvements in 2025 which included a refurbished floor and new seats. There is a video of the project that you can watch on their Facebook page.

What's Playing at the Diana Theatre?
The movie theater plays first-run movies as well as past favorites (they played Prancer for free during the Christmas holidays). To see what's playing and when, please visit the Showtimes page for the Diana Theatre.
