Carmike Cinemas has acquired all nine movie theaters from Muvico Entertainment LLC, according to a press release issued by Carmike this week. Seven of the theaters are in Florida, one is in California, and the last is in Illinois.

Two locations have IMAX auditoriums. The California and Illinois locations include a big-screen concept "MuviXL" auditorium and a full service restaurant called Bogart's Bar & Grill.

It doesn't appear that Carmike is changing the names of the theaters at this time, and the new locations do not yet appear on Carmike's web site, so they may be keeping Muvico as a separate brand, or it just may be a matter of time before the branding is changed. If you have a Muvico gift cards, Bogart's Bar & Grill gift cards, and/or discount passes from Muvico, you may want to contact one of the acquired locations to make sure that they will continue to be honored and for how long.
