A intense thriller that is a cross between "Silence of the Lambs" and "Rear Window." Halle Berry plays an 911 operator who have lost someone to a serial killer as the movie opens. when she returns six months later, she came to the aid of a teen age girl who is kidnapped by the same serial killer. The victim is played by Abigail Breslin, who has grown a bit since her last movie, "New Years Eve." The villain is crediable and the chase though Los Angeles is intense. Berrty performance is powerful. I can't reveal the ending, but this is powerful stuff. And that R rating is well-earned. Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin were together in New Years Eve and Breslin came away with the only good performance. Here in this movie, both performers came away with good performances. Mar 19, 2013
A good movie that holds your attention all the way through. In some ways it reminds you of The Butterfly Effect, another good movie she was in. Mar 19, 2013
Overall this was a good thriller movie. However portions of the plot were not explored or explained as well as they could have been. Unnecessary underlying actions were involved that would have been better left out. Hally Berry did a very good job in a role she seldom plays. Near the end it just derailed into a common scare movie. A solid movie that doesn't offer much in the way of innovation or new ideas. You've seen everything here done in movies before, sometimes better, sometimes worse. But, the movie is tightly directed by Brad Anderson and decently acted by Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin. A good matinee show if you're looking for something to do on a rainy day. Apr 14, 2013
This movie was brilliantly constructed. Halle berry knock it out of the park Apr 17, 2013
