This movie is much better than you think. This movie does to pets what "Toy Story" did to toys. As soon as their owners leave, they talk like humans. The pet at the center of the film is Max, who has live a cool live until the arrival Duke disrupted his life. Before he know he and Duke were on the streets looking for Duke's former owner. Along the way, they ran into Snowball who leads a group of bad animals who dislike humans. I like the movie. It's a fun film to watch. My favorite is Snowball.I love the rabbit very much. Someone please give Snowball his own movie. Not only's he's the life of the party but he's a fun animal to watch.

Another swing and a miss by Illumination animation, the Secret Life of Pets is disappointing. It is essentially a step by step rip-off of the original Toy Story film, with bits and pieces of plot also stolen from Toy Story 2. Yes, it's a good looking animated film. Yes, the humor is fine. But the story and plot are just a let down. The voice acting isn't anything special, and the "villain" of the film voiced by Kevin Hart brings nothing to the movie. Kevin Hart does what Kevin Hart does in almost all his other movies: just yell and scream and freak out about everything and apparently it's supposed to be funny. The good, impressive, breathe of fresh air into the animation genre that The Secret Life of Pets was supposed to be just wasn't here. Illumination animation has been very hit or miss on every one of their animations, and this was a miss. I have extremely high hopes for their Sing animated film in December.

Just wasn't up to the hype in the trailers. poor story line, mediocre "acting". Sorry I'm spoiled by their Despicable me/Minions series.
