I loved this movie! If you're a fan of the 1991 film, you will love this.

Humanity does not deserve the perfect cast that this film contains. Nor do we deserve Alan Menken's brilliant music. This film is fabulous, combining everything that was already perfect about the 1991 animated film with great new aspects, to create a fantastic new film. Bravo.

The live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast" isn't as great as the 1991 Animated version of the film, but what a beautiful and emotional movie. I give credit to Emma Watson for giving life to the character Bella who help give life to this movie. if you saw the 1991 animated version of the movie, you won't have trouble with the movie. Bella is the perfect role model for girls to .look up to. Watson also as well as the cast of the movie has given their all and they made not only a entertaining movie, but a powerful emotional movie that audiences can identified with. If you like the animated version, you will like the new version of the movie

Beautifully Done. Well worth the time to see Emma Watson at her best. With all of the notable supporting actors. The movie is well deserving a 5 star rating.

On paper, Beauty and the Beast was a perfect setup. Take a beloved animated movie and remake it with a live-action cast, with Emma Watson as the lead. Disney had scored highly with their previous live-action remakes, such as Cinderella and Maleficent.

The result is actually pretty good. I found no major faults with any of it. It was funny, poignant, and charming. However, it had just a little too much gloss on it for my taste.

Whereas Cinderella felt very genuine, Beauty and the Beast seemed very manufactured. I really liked Kevin Kline as Belle's father, and his interaction with Watson left me wanting more of that story. Emma Watson did a fine job of the singing and her relationship with the Beast was passable, so there's nothing to complain about. It's just that something seemed off.

One lingering issue is that this story is based in France, but there wasn't a French actor or actress to be found. Nearly everyone was British! It's a small criticism, but it's something that's never really left me since I watched it.

All that said, this is a great movie. We bought it on Blu-ray, and we'll probably watch it from time to time. (If I had my choice, though, I think I'd rather watch the live-action Cinderella instead.)

I'm a Disney princess fan. So I loved it. I'm also a Harry Potter fan. So I loved Belle. This movie is amazing! I have watched and own all of the Disney live actions films, but I've got to say that this was by far the best executed of all of them. To everybody, from the young, to the young at heart, this movie is perfect, and a worthwhile use of your 2 hours.
