"Town and Country" is Warren Beatty's first film since "The Fortune" (1975) where his only job is actor. But he could have done more than that. "Town and Country" is a rehash of the 1974 film "Shampoo." Beatty plays a married man who had all those affairs, until he was caught. This film is more of a reunion movie than a film by itself. Diane Keaton, who plays his wife was reunited with Beatty from "Reds" (1981), Goldie Hawn, who played one of the women in his life was reunited with Beatty from "Shampoo." A strong cast couldn't save this lukewarm movie. But I'm glad to see Nastassja Kinski on the big screen again. May 8, 2001
