\"Blue Velvet\" is one of the best films from 1986. Believe me, the film is grossed out but well-made thriller which contains the best non-horror villain I\'ve seen in years. His name is Frank Booth. Here we have a villain who doesn\'t take hostages, who character can dominate the movie. Booth is played by Dennis Hopper in his best performance in a lifetime. His presence has put a rubber-stamp on this movie. Directed by David Lynch, this thriller stars Kyle McLachlan as a man who enters Booth\'s world. Isabella rossellini plays Booth\'s love intrest and Laura Dern plays McLachlan\'s love intrest. Lynch also wrote the screenplay. \"Blue Velvet\" is a major film presence. One of Lynch\'s best works. \"Blue Velvet\" is the movie. Looking for more opinions?Check out our Featured Movie Reviews for Blue Velvet. |
