"The New Guy" has some laugh, something "National Lapoon's Van Wilder" doesn't have. But not enough in this film to recommend. A nerd heads to Prison to get help from the inmates of how to be cool at his new school. The film featured Eddie Griffin in a very funny supporting performance. Some good parodies including a very funny take-off of the Oscar winning movie film "Braveheart," otherwise a very funny and strong script is needed to save this film.
