Marvel must have liked what director Taika Watiti did with 'Thor: Ragnarok' so much, that they sat down with him, wrote him a check, and said "turn the next one up to 11." There are times in 'Love and Thunder' where his approach works, and others when it does not.

I have no idea what the storyline for The Mighty Thor is in the comic books, so I have to assume that some of the choices made are done in order to stay true to that history, so as not to annoy those fans.

That said, I found the introduction of The Mighty Thor into this franchise to be refreshing. Natalie Portman outclasses everyone in the production every time she appears on screen, and the best scenes contain her character and most of the best lines are hers. The best is: "I'm not Lady Thor. My name is Mighty Thor! And if that's still too hard for you, you can call me Dr. Jane Foster!"

The way the movie ended, it virtually guaranteed that this was the last Thor movie. The fresh air enjoyed by this installment was used entirely. I hope that they know when to be done.

Overall, this movie is enjoyable. It's funny, it has action, and there is a beginning and an end. I would even watch it again from time to time.
