The acting, especially Will Smith and John Voight, was good. However, the story line bogged down and spent too much time on the muslim aspect and not enough on the rest of Ali's life. The movie was too long and ended without covering Ali's life in the later years.

It's not a movie I'd see twice, but I didn't think that I had wasted my money, either. It's just a shame that such good acting was wasted on a poorly edited script.

Really, everything you've heard about this movie is true. the camera work is amazing and you get to see a side of ALI that you haven't and won't see anywhere else. when you leave the theater you'll be thinking about this film, and you won't stop thinking about it for atleast a week afterwards

Will Smith gave a good performance as Mohammed Ali. But \"Ali\" only have a few good moments. Director Michael Mann didn\'t have much to go on in this movie. He\'s an insperation for all of us. He is seen as the greatest, but the film never tells us why.
