Johnny Depp stars as the inspector who is out to get Jack the Ripper. "From Hell" is the latest film that protrayed the legend of Jack the Ripper who may be the very first serial killer.

There are some viloence and gore, but unlike "Bones" and "13 Ghosts" the viloence anf gore didn't domminate the film. The film smart writing editing and directing by the Hughes Brothers makes "From Hell" the best horror film to come out over Halloween.

This movie is not ment for children, but it's not ment only for adults either. It has blood, gore and a little sexual content, but aside from all of that, you will love this movie. It has a good plot and everyone is in character. Johnny Depp is wonderful as Inspector Fredrick Abberline, the Inspector who's investigating the Jack the Ripper case. I strongly suggest this for all Johnny Depp lovers, such as myself. And, for all you Heather Graham lovers, this is the movie for you. She's excellent as Mary. You see, the main reson I wanted to see this movie was because Johnny Depp was in it. I thought it wouldn't be that good. But, after I saw it, I loved it.

If you love horror or thriller movies, this is the one for you. But, if you get queazy at the sight of blood easily, maybe you wouldn't like to see this movie. But, for the rest of you, enjoy!!!

The movie definately has that dark thing going, but it seems to suite this subject matter perfectly.

It was a little shocking to believe London was ever as dark and immoral as it is portrayed, in fact, I began wondering how Jack the Rippper could match or exceed the evil that was already evident in almost all the background characters inhabiting this place.

The thing that really gripped me was how the story line weaved a masterful mystery and how I enjoyed Johnny Depps character finding out each piece of the puzzle. The killing and gore was very subdued and the storyline was supreme. Excellent mystery thriller that I would highly recommend, especially if you enjoy a continuously unraveling mystery.
