The first 'A Quiet Place' movie was very good. It was original and it had likeable characters that the viewer cared about, which made the ending effective. The second movie was also good, with the continuity of the necessary characters and the introduction of new ones.

This movie features a good performance from Lupita Nyong'o, and to a lesser extent, Joseph Quinn. Their journey through the streets of New York City during the invasion of the sound-sensitive creatures is effective in ratcheting up the tension every time they encounter danger. Their story does come to a conclusion which is satisfying in their own way, but once it's over, the viewer is left wondering if the movie was necessary at all.

'A Quiet Place: Day One' is worth watching, but I don't think it's worth owning. I watched it on Paramount+ so it cost me nothing extra, and I was happy spending the time revisiting the environment of 'A Quiet Place' for a short time.
