Chris Rock has come a long way since \"CB4,\" which came out in 1993 which became the worse film of that year. Rock co-wrote and directed \"Head of State,\" which wasn\'t as bad as \"CB4,\" but it could be worse.

Rock played a city councilman who was reculted to become the candidate for the president of the United States by people who wanted the minority vote. First off, the film is too familiar to Eddie Murphy\'s 1992 movie, \"The Distingulished Gentleman,\" in which Murphy ran for congress. This film lacks humor, so this film. \"Head of State\" is good only as long as Rock stayed on the political issues, which kept the film alive. But the film strays into PG-13 type toliet humor, destroying any hope for approving this film. Bernie Mac comes across his vice-presidential character as a bully.
