\"Hollywoodland\" is the story of a detective who believe that Actor George Reeve may have been murdered. This film not only detail the life of Reeves, but invesgate into his death. This film is an eyeopening look into Hollywood in the late 1950\'s. I\'ll recommend this film, not because I like the film, but it\'s a history lesson on 1950\'s Hollywood.

Strong performances by Brody, Lane, Tunney, and Hoskins. Solid who-done-it plot, but it dragged at points.

It took me awhile to catch on to the convoluted story/plots and I must warn you, don't go out to the washroom or to buy popcorn while the movie is in progress. It jumps from story to story and you really will miss something pertinent. The movie is well done and entertaining. I wish that the feature movie in a theatre had as good sound as the coming attractions. I probably would be able to understand ALL the dialogue of the main feature.

Excellent film noire mystery, but with an inconclusive ending. Ben Afleck and Diane Lane are the standouts in this story about the sad death of a childhood hero.
