I am a massive fan of Kevin Smith, probably his biggest supporter. I talk like his movies, I think like he does.His characters I know. Like Clerks. I know people like Dante and Randal. I have a friend who is just like Jay. Silent Bob? Know him too. Even Caitlin Bree I knew a girl like her. THE Secure Veronica? Yep. Clerks was the ultimatereality trip, plus 1994's best comedy.

He scored again in Mallrats, however not as well. I liked this film, however some of the characters weren't as memorable. I knew someone like the Jason Lee character, and Jay and Silent Bob were there, but the Jeremy London andShannen Doherty character passed on by. I think because of the $6 million budget, Kevin was letting the big bucks get to him.

Chasing Amy has Holden. Banky. Alyssa Jones. Jay. Silent Bob. This,like Clerks, is the year's funniest comedy. But it's so damn real! I knew what these situations were like, and the characters in Chasing Amy deal with it truthfully.

Not only is this the year's best comedy, it is also the best film of the year.

Fans of Kevin Smith's previous films, Clerks and Mallrats, will find his latest outing very enjoyable. On a similar level with Clerks and far surpassing Mallrats, Smith's growth as a filmaker is quite evident.

The dialouge is as funny as it is explicit, making this movie not for the faint of heart. Vivid sexual descriptions are abundant as are strong themes dealing with homosexuality.

I highly recommend this funny, fresh, and original film.

Kevin Smith's 1987 comedy about one man's love for a lesbian woman, has plenty of comical moments. I admired the comic timing of Smith's screenplay.

Joey Lauren Adams gave a breakthough performance. She reminded me of Renee Zellweger. "Chasing Amy" is a film of comic sexual overtones.
